The other T3 quirk: ride-hailing pickup moved to lot P13, roughly 2km from the terminal. On a late arrival with luggage, that is the difference between a smooth exit and a bad twenty minutes — a pre-booked transfer or the metro is often the calmer choice.

Guangzhou's airport and station taxi ranks are where the city's one persistent scam lives — drivers refusing the meter and quoting ¥300–500 for a ride that meters at ¥140–180.
